The filter at the heart of every BIBO model is the MAXI filter – this is a silver impregnated carbon block micro filter. The closely controlled pore structure and consistent pore size will remove a wide range of contaminants over the life of the filter such as Chlorine, Micro Plastics, Herbicides, Insecticides and micro-organisms. The incorporation of silver locked within the carbon structure gives the filter enhanced bacteriostatic properties too.
There’s also a powerful UV Filter which kills any bacteria in your tap water. UV Water Filters are highly efficient at killing bacteria, viruses and micro-organisms that can be found in water!

Healthy minerals like calcium and potassium found naturally in water are beneficial to our health everytime you drink water – and so our BIBO has a selective filtration system, meaning this good stuff gets to stay!!
The BIBO filter cartridge doesn’t remove the minerals that cause limescale but the hot tank has been designed to keep these minerals in suspension so that the elements inside do not become furred. We have actively avoided using an anti-scale “dosing” system, unlike our major competitor, because we do not believe that adding anti-scale chemicals to the water is the best option for the creation of pure water. However, we can install your BIBO onto a water softener if you have one and would prefer this!
